Janice was born and raised in the foothills of the Appalachia Mountains. Working outdoors on the family farm, she gained an appreciation of nature, including the woods and flowers as well as the wild creatures she observed around the farm. Janice is a self-taught painter who feels her talent is a gift - one which she uses to spread joy to others. She works mainly in acrylics and frequently uses antique and recycled frames. Janice’s paintings are displayed in numerous museums and galleries throughout the State of Kentucky. On two occasions, her work has graced the White House as part of the Christmas decorations there.
