Although she watched her mother quilt throughout her life, and often collaborated with her on projects - Margaret did the stitching on several quilts and her mother quilted them - she did not begin her own quilting career until age 80.  Margaret hand pieces each of her quilted creations, then has them machine quilted by a longarm quilter.  Margaret and her husband were married for 53 years before his death.  Margaret enjoys knitting and crocheting and loves to sing.  She enjoys singing in her church choir and formerly sang in a quartet for many years.
