Holiday Decorating

How I love holiday decorating!  Put on some Christmas music and unpack box after box of Christmas items.  Every room gets decorated for the holidays - there’s Christmas cheer everywhere!  When I’ve finished decorating, the whole house is alight with the sounds and sights of Christmas!


And no matter who it is - when they come into the house they’re always drawn to the handcrafted pieces on display.  I think things that are handmade exude warmth, character and nostalgia.

Thanksgiving Traditions

In October I wrote that it was unseasonably cold and actually snowing a bit here in Kentucky.  Well, now it’s November and it’s unseasonably warm with a forecast for severe storms, possibly tornados late this afternoon.  Is it just me or does the weather seem a bit more unpredictable these days?  Regardless of the weather, though, the Holiday season is fast approaching.  Thanksgiving is right around the corner - a special time for family, tradition and food!
